Needles: 3.25 mm (US 3) straight or 40 cm (16 inch) circular needles;
or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 24 stitches and 34 rows = 10 x 10cm (4 x 4 inches) in pattern, blocked. (The pattern for the gauge swatch is in the instructions)
Yarn:
Small (Green): Can wrap around smaller necks twice. 90 meters / 100 yards of fingering or sport yarn. The sample is made in Lana Gatto VIP (50 g = 200 meters) and weighs 20 grams (col. 9358).
Medium (Blue): Can wrap around the neck twice comfortably. 130 meters / 140 yards of fingering or sport yarn. The sample is made in Holst Garn Supersoft (50 g = 287 meters) and weighs 20 grams (col. 045 Cornflower).
Large (Pink): Can wrap around the neck three times. 185 meters / 200 yards of fingering or sport yarn. The sample is made in Pro Lana Silky Soft (50 g = 200 meters) and weighs 45 grams (col. 37 Malve).
